Rubber Dredging Hoses

EMSTEC Rubber Dredging Hoses are purpose built to the special requirements of our clients. We are in the position to build hose sizes ranging from 100 mm ID to 2200 mm ID. Our designers will select the most appropriate materials from a wide range of products available to us to meet service requirements and the demands requested by our clients i.e. in regard to wear resistance, pressure ratings, tensile strength, bending capabilities and other parameters.

In general the EMSTEC Rubber Dredging Hoses consist out of an inner lining which can be adjusted to meet the specific requirement of the transported medium. Wear indicator layers can also be implemented in the lining of the hoses which transport abrasive medium. A proven textile reinforcement of high tensile strength controls the pressure resistance of the hose as well as its tensile strength. Whereas the outer cover is built up utilising a rubber compound formulated to be highly resistant against weathering, UV light and ozone attack. On special request the outer cover can be built utilising oil resistant materials. Hose end fittings are available in a wide range of designs specifically produced to match the selected hose service requirements.

Discharge Hoses

EMSTEC Discharge Hoses are available for a wide range of applications. Custom built they will serve as flexible elements for e.g. Floating Steel Pipe Lines, as Jet Water Hoses at drag arms, Connecting Hoses in between Cutter Dredger and Discharge Lines, Compensator Hoses for vibration control, etc...

They can be delivered with a simple sandwich flange, vulcanized in steel nipple or with an enlarged cuff to be fastened on a steel pipe for example.

Floating Hoses

EMSTEC Floating Hoses are available of different design criteria. In general the Floating Hoses are consisting of an inner discharge hose with build in steel nipples. A floatation body made out of a closed cell PE foam will be built around the entire hose. The floating body is covered by a reinforced rubber shell suitable to withstand severe sea conditions as well as handling influences. EMSTEC floating hoses are available as mainline, special reinforced mooring, tapered connecting hose and other designs.

Suction Hoses

EMSTEC Suction Hoses are designed to achieve high bending capabilities even under severe service conditions. Therefore the designs are selected depending on ID of hose, required bending angle and acceptable build in length. This type of hose will be built as ring type, ring type outside smooth, helix type, armoured type or any other special type of hose requested.

Steel Cone Lined Suction Hoses

EMSTEC Steel Cone Lined Suction Hoses are custom built to serve the special requirements of our clients. The outer Rubber Hose is acting as a general suction hose or better explained as an outside seal hose. Inside this seal hose steel cones are located by means of bolts. The subject cones can be built of general mild steel or wear resistant steels like Hardox, Creusabro, etc. Worn out cones can be replaced by removing the locking bolts, and re-inserting new cones.

Armoured Suction Hoses

EMSTEC Armoured Hoses are common for service of very abrasive materials like cape rock, coral, etc. Depending on the service requirements the hose will be designed either flexible to be used with e.g. a gimbal or universal joint. On the other hand this type of hose might be built very rigid to be used as a gimbal or universal joint replacement, stern swivel replacement hose etc. insure a long service time even though transporting coarse materials. The built in wear rings can be completed in materials like Hardox, Creusabro, etc.

Gimbal Replacement Hose

Gimbal Replacement Hoses are special designed hoses to replace the steel construction of gimbals and universal joints general build into a drag arm to allow the required flexibility. The design incorporates flexibility as well as lateral rigidity to minimize the offset of the single pipe section. Tensile breaking strength is designed as high to achieve the necessary strength required within a drag arm. A jet hose assembly can be established in accordance to the requirements of the user. Subject design will cut maintenance and building cost of a drag arm. Weight of drag arm is diminished. Down time for the replacement/turning of a hose inside a gimbal or universal Joint is lower due to an open access of working area
