Elberiver Dredging underway

To ensure the safe passage of the new generation of large size container vessels from the North Sea to the port of Hamburg, large trailing suction hopper dredgers are working on deepening the fairway in a 116 km long passage.

Works started in 2019 already with a consortium of dredging companies working simultaneously at times.

Different EMSTEC products are being used to transfer the sediments to the designated dumping areas outside the fairway.
