During the last couple of weeks, EMSTEC built and tested these high pressure armoured hoses. The hoses will be operating under working pressure of 42 bar.
The production of each hose took several days, which is mainly due to the extensive manual work applying all the different materials. After Vulcanization a hose weighted to around 21 tons and had an outer diameter of 2,3 m.
Our client also wanted each hose to be bend tested under working pressure which meant extreme caution awareness for everybody as forces above 38 tons were needed.
Everything went well and hoses are on their way to the destination.
