Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
A main aspect of our products in offshore applications is fluid flow behaviour during operation. EMSTEC uses software to analyse the dynamic impact of fluid behaviour to ensure the correct construction and selection of material.
All kinds of scenarios can be simulated, from the flow of water to sand and even larger objects such as rocks. Below further applications are stated:
- Pressure drop
- Fluid behaviour
- Geometry improvement
- Fatigue analysis (e.g. sand water mixture in a valve)
Virtually all geometry can be modelled and simulated. All simulations use 3D models of complete assemblies with a very high level of detail and accuracy. Geometry can be taken from client provided drawings or in-house generated 3D files.
